How to debloat just 3 days before your photoshoot
Due to my food allergies, being bloated feels like my stomach’s natural state. It does not help that I have a toxic relationship with my one true love, cheese. So 3 days before my photoshoot I followed this advice to relieve the puffiness:
1.Liquidate Your System
Drink at least your bodyweight in ounces of water. As for sparkling water, I’ve heard mixed reviews but I’ve always found that it has relieved my stomach bloating. Drinking green tea or dandelion tea also aids in flushing the toxins out of your body. Avoid sugary drinks and unfortunately, this also means skipping happy hour.
2.Protein, Protein, Protein
This means cut out all dairy and carbs because they are known to cause stomach issues. For someone like me who exclusively eats food that comes out of the microwave, finding healthy replacements is difficult. Some quick and easy options that I like are cauliflower rice, low-carb tortilla wraps, or scrambled eggs.
3.Sweat It Out
Not only does exercise help with digestion, sweating will depuff your face and stomach. Activities I suggest are an hour of cardio, hot yoga or relaxing in a steam room with a gallon of water and gossip sesh with the girls (my personal fave).
